SEEdesign runs its first meeting in Denmark

SEEdesign partners meeting in Denmark

SEEdesign has just officially started its activities with the first of a series of 6 meetings planned for the operation lifespan. This first activity took place in Copenhagen, on 9 and 10 May 2005, hosted by the Danish Design Centre, one of the SEEdesign partners.

The first part of the event was dedicated to the 1st Steering Committee Meeting, which was chaired by the lead partner Design Wales. This was the opportunity for signing the Cooperation Agreement and for providing partners with details about the operational plan and reporting procedures necessary on the INTERREG IIIC Programme.

The second day started with the European Workshop on Design Support. Partners and invited participants presented their organisations and activities, sharing their experience on how to provide design advice to SMEs. This seminar has resulted in an overview of this partnership and its potential.

The third and last part of the meeting was the SMEs Seminar. This consisted of a presentation by the Danish based company 1508 followed by a hands-on workshop about methods to involve users in the design process. Local companies and design consultancies joined the SEEdesign partners on this Seminar, which was attended by almost 40 people.
