IWDS 2006 Podcast – subscribe here!

IWDS 2006, held in Cardiff at the beginning of May, proved to be a successful event attracting around 100 delegates from 23 countries worldwide. Hosted by SEEdesign lead partner Design Wales, the event featured presentations from eminent speakers such as Sir George Cox from the Design Council, UK, and Professor John Heskett from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China. IWDS 2006 provided delegates with an excellent opportunity to learn how different countries promote design and help their companies to develop products and services. The delegates, who included the SEEdesign partners, design support practitioners, researchers and representatives from universities and design industry, also took advantage of the occasion to share their experiences and establish contacts with like-minded colleagues.

For those who were unable to attend the event in Cardiff, the SEEdesign Bulletin Issue 3, recently published, brings together some of the findings and discussions that were raised during the event.

In addition, Design Wales is also releasing a Podcast featuring highlights of the event. This 60 minute programme presents the important considerations made by the speakers during the two-day event, as well as some challenging questions raised by the audience to the IWDS 2006 speakers.
